Temp sender?
I need to reinstall the sending unit that switches on my fans, should I mount it to the head or the manifold? I have it in the manifold but the fans go on erratically, is the head better?

Did you check the grounds?

The sender switch is a ground, it grounds the fan circuit to the block and the fans switch on.
I moved it to the head and cleaned off the thread sealer, it seems to work better now. Maybe the sender did not get hot quick enough in the aluminum manifold.
