      Lee steering box!

I just swapped out my 12 to 1 AGR box () for a Lee box specked by Mark Savitske at SC&C. http://www.scandc.com/
The Lee box is such a fantastic box compared the the AGR.
Now my car centers so well I can cruise the parkway at 80-90 and take my hand off the wheel.
It has that terrific bounce back and feel much like a manual box but 12 to 1 faster! And it was only a few bucks more.
Mark Savitske has us B body guys covered.

      Thanks Marc!!

I have the same box from sc+c but I have an A-body car. That box along with my 14" lecarra made a huge difference. Its one of the best things I've done to my car.

Just an FYI - I had a brand new AGR box for my project and ended up selling it to a friend. Long story very short Al put it in his truck and it started leaking like a siv. We called AGR and they said they the seals went bad from sitting and that we would have to ship it back to them and give them a check for $150.00 and pay shipping both way's.

They have to one of the worst company's that i have ever delt with. I have also talked with many other syclone /s10 owners and all have had similar problems with just as bad customer service.

In the end i did buy a Flaming Rivers box and but was seriously considering a Lee box also. Both of which I think are great companies to work with.

AGR = po po in my book

How long have I being saying this now? 3 years?

You want a rack feel in a box? ATS 670 gear box built by Tom @ Lee Manufacturing is the way to go.

Yep the AGR box I out in my 97 truck is stiff to the right and less stiff to the left. Their tech line came up with all kinds of reasons besides the box it would do that. Gotten used to it now.

Funny thing the tractor I have a Kubota has so much assist when I get back in the truck it after using it for a couple of hours feels like it has manual steering at first.

Does Lee still do rebuilds? I was hoping to have them go over my 79 Z box; I e-mailed them a few months ago, but never heard anything back.
These new boxes might be a better way to go. Any difference in feel between the 800 or the 670? I always thought that the 800 should be used in heavier cars, such as my Camaro, but if the smaller box has the same feel and strength, I might get that instead.

Tom is the best there is. I picked up my new pump from him last month. He could have stuck me with a $300 pump, and I would have paid it, but he said no, and charged me all of $85.

Lee's is a throwback in time, and that's one of the reasons why I like dealing with them. He is all about hands-on and practical approach. A phone call is by far the best method, and don't be afraid to call early.

I just ordered my Lee steering box from Marcus at SC&C this week after a great discussion over the phone. I have heard and read about Lees'steering boxes for many years; other than knowing he produces one of the best steering boxes out there, I really didn't know too much about him. Thanks to Marcus, I now know a lot more about Lee and many other aspects of steering and suspension. It was a real pleasure talking to him, could have chatted all day if given half the chance. I look forward to receiving the box, and if anyone else is thinking of purchasing any steering or suspension parts, it's well worth your time to give Marcus a call!

I e-mailed AGR and told them I want a complete refund. I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Skip, they pulled the same BS on me and I fell for it!
