      atomic orange

Five weeks away and I will finally have it back it has been a little over a year at shop. I had a hard time picking a color atomic orange is not to wild but not to plain. What do you guys think of this color and all original rs/ss trim on a 68? The 40,000 bill from body shop is a little more than I have so I will need to borrow some to pay the bill. When it comes I can start assembly and save for the hogan intake/exhaust/hydra brake and brake kit since the bear brake kit will not fit new ford rear end. HOPE TO POST FINISHED PICS AUGUST 10TH

I'm doing a story on "OEM paint" colors.. Atomic Orange is one of the ones I mention. Killer color.

Do you know the paint code?

      $40,000 paint bill? :faint:

I'm interested in knowing what $40,000 got you! What did they do for that? Were there lots of sheetmetal mods?

take a look at the pics....IF they did some of the mods that you can see I can see him gettin a big bill....40k bill? I dunno if thats justified I avent seen the car in person...but none the less i know how it is to get a bill bigger than expected when a project snowballs at a shop and you just keep adding ideas and are gettin billed by the hour which was prolly the case here...

Hmmmmm Welded in subframe connectors (look like DSE's) ... mini tubbed ..... oh yeah, I see brackets for a DSE Quadra Link rear suspension.
That's all that my untrained eyes can pick out.

Oh yeah, cool colour. Can't wait to see it in sunlight.

Looks great! Do you have a list of all that was done for the $40K? Looks like they did alot of work (firewall, subframe, connectors, DSE Quadra Link rear suspension, mini tubs, etc). If they did this from the start, stripped it down and to this point $40k is a bargan. Did the price include the parts? Keep the posts coming.

Does that come with "a reach around" ?

Just kidding....Do you have any more photos of the car...ie..prior to the build and during the build? Great color BTW.
