      Females in PHR??

Mabe its just me, but did anyone else notice an increase in the number of females in the pages of the new PHR? That is NOT a complaint by the way. Is this a new trend?, because if it is im sure as long as it remains tasteful (which im sure it will) the # of copies sold will surely increase!! I dont mind at least

Sometimes we have more.. sometimes less..

This issue is chock full.. mostly from Hometown and from the photo contest submission.

I try to keep it tasteful.. you should see the ones I didn't run for the girl in Hometown.. lol

Street Rodder did a cover with a girl getting pin stripped.. it's was cool and tasteful..

The got hate mail about how they were turning the magazine into Hustler. lol

We get mail now and a again from the "crazy but vocal minority"..

If a girl sends me a shot of her by a car (or her car), how can I NOT run it? Isn't it my duty?

Steve I happened to recognize the Pinstripper [from the cover]at the Detroit Autorama. "Where's the girl you pinstripped on the cover?" He went on to say how cool she was, her only complaint was how cold the paint was, but he said she liked the texture and the feel of the brush on her skin!!!!!!!

I bet that sounds like more fun than any photo shoot you've done of a car?

P.S. congrats on the cover of super chevy, neat article!

I remember a while back when super chevy had girls posing with two of their feature cars (both camaros if i remember correctly), but since then they havent done that it seems like. I just wonder if they got the "hate" mail too. I dont know but if that makes you too uncomfortable to look at your favorite automotive publication than you have no place in the hobby, like you guys said, pizza and budwieser! lol

I wasn't looking at it for the cars, but what do you expect from a 12 year-old.

I remember Autobuff and it was sad to see it stepped on because of people with infuriority complexes. Women and some men are locked into jealousy over a car to start with and then you ice the cake with a woman and they go on overload with desire and jealousy so they explode with anger to cover it up. It's the guys who vent their anger toward the women I wonder about?

I remember Autobuff, in fact the year I graduated 83' me and my buddy jumped into his 66 mustang with $30 to our name and drove down to the Street machine nationals in Springfield IL. When we walked into the state fairgrounds Autobuff was doing a photo shoot off to the side. They had a large piece of fabric up to hide most of the shoot, but we did get a glimpse of the girl.

When the power tour went to Springfield this year it was the first time I had been back to the fair grounds. I had a Blown 68 Camaro, right out of the early 80's follow me into the fairgrounds this year, talk about stirring memories. Things have changed, this time I actually slept in a hotel, there was no drag racing on the street while the fuzz watched and cheered us on, no Show us your T-its signs on cars, and no blatant drug use. Ahh the good old days, to be 18 again without a care in the world.

The shop that painted our Corvette has a few boxes of Autobuff's stored up in the rafters. When the beerdrinkin and benchracing starts up the Autobuff's come down. Nothing like some early 80's soft core mixed up with snorkel scoops and white letters out on the BFG's. Good stuff!
