      ls1 with distributer?

i was watching one of the muscle car shows on t.v. and they were converting the ls1 over to a normal distributer.front mount style like ford.the kit came with everything needed to convert.
my question is does anyone know who makes this kit?i thought it was msd but i can't find anything about it online.
also if someone did this conversion along with the carb. manifold would you still need to run a computer for anything?

      thanks for the help.

I think it pretty much eliminates the need for a computer, I believe it also converted it to be able to run a mechanical fuel pump up front. Check this out. My question is why? Stick with the fuel injection.

Actually, Wegner Automotive Research (http://www.wegnerautomotive.com) developed the parts. They licensed them to GM.

i figure the car will be lucky to see 100 miles a month,so i'm not worried about gas mileage.i thought it would just be alot easier to run an old school carb, distributer, fuel system and not have to worry about having someone else tune it if i ever make changes to the motor.

i like the carb idea but how the heck do you hook up an alternator or powersteering pump to that thing with the disty is the front?
