adjusting pushrod legnth

OK - so i need some help - I installed a Hydroboost unit on my Charger and went to bolt up the master cylinder and found a 1/2" gap - if i push the master onto the hydroboost i believe i am activiating the plunger on the master... which is not good... is there anyway to adjust the pushrod legnth on the hydroboost so it does not activate the master ? if not what do i need to do ?

So your saying that the push rod coming out of the booster is pushing in the mc piston ,then I would say contact who ever you got it from but if your cross breeding then you may need to fab up a simple spacer to keep it from pushing but also make sure that the rod iside isnt pushing on the booster as it will be in boost all the time.
If you need to experiment just space the master cyl out and try it and see if it works properly.
I have just bgun looking at Hydroboost as I dont really know how much vacuum my engine is going to make. but then my car, 77 Monza, has no part support like others.
If you bought a kit that is supposed to work I would say that its either wrong, missing parts or you got ripped off.

ya... i figured just spacing it out would be cool... i am using a mopar master cylinder and a GM hydroboost... an aluminum spacer is in the works it seems...

Just make sure you get the centering setup right.

yep... shouldnt be a problem - i was just wondering if there would have been an easy adjustment... apparently not... spacer it is!

its an aftermarket master cylinder.... it has a GM bolt pattern =)~
