      spal temp sensor?

First post here, great site. i 've been learking for a while.
Just got my spal controller, Can i buy this sensor from a parts store.
Kinda looks like a GM sensor. I wasn't sure if it was spal specific. i don't have a sensor to tap into.

      Thanks.
      Debo.

I have talked to SPAL about this sensor. You can use any sensor as long as it is a "variable voltage" type sensor. Most aftermarket sensors work by varying resistance. This is how autometer sensors work. So I bought the SPAL one off ebay.

Just picked up a temp sensoe for a 92 Cav. w/3.1L . My parts guy took one look at the connection, and knew it. I'll post up if it works. Thanks.

Sure will. Check out spals site, I think you can take a look at the instructions.

The Spal sensors are pre-configured. Otherwise, you just have to program the controller for your GM one.
