Convert the head unit.
I contacted Vintage Air and a few other after market A/C company's regarding replacing the A/C in the Caprice.
The car has came with the Comfortron Climate control A/C but it is a Pain in the a$$. What I want to do is replace the current A/C behind the dash and also the engine compartment. With the Vintage air system or similar. But keep the original head unit. Does anyone know who can convert the head unit to work with some of the new A/C systems?

The VA kit I bought 6 1/2 years ago used the factory controls with all new pieces everywhere else. You may want to look into the Factory fit type ones.

Thanks but since this has no cables only vacuum lines and switches. I would think that it would need to be converted to an electronic control.

I think the Gen IV stuf is electronic. You may want to look at how to adapt some microswitches to your unit to take advantage of the VA stuff.
