      707 HP at the crank.

I should mention that we did leave some HP on the table with timing; the dyno graph shows what we made with 32 degrees of total timing. I live in Texas, we have the summer coming up and I want as much of a safety margin as I can get and still have a peppy ride. Also, like you, the motor is turning a Ford 9".

      Have you dyno'd your 540?

Well it was dynoed at World b4 they shipped it but t s only making 580hp and 594 ft lbs. After lopoking at the cam specs, they are rather mild so after the warrenty's up, we will open her up. After that and a couple other mods we shopuld pick up some ponies. See if you can post an idle clip for us?

I think that's the motor that Alan Johnson just put in Doug Cooper's 55 Chevy..Doug's driving it on the Power Tour. If they get it going...they are just getting it buttoned up...Morrison Chassis, 6 speed Rockland T-56..Curry 9". 4 wheel Wilwoods etc..His was 700+ hp too

Sounds impressive!Sure didn't sound like they spun it much higher than around 5500rpms though.I had mine on the dyno in April and I had a 6800 chip in the box, tickled the limiter each pull...I ended up @ 431rwhp and 390 ft. lbs torque from my 383 stroker.
