closed or open chamber heads
Can any one help me re. BBC heads? Which is a better head,open chamber or closed and why. thanks

Depends on the application. What do you want to do with the engine?
05-19-2007 #3I like closed chambers that have had the valves unshrouded. Good flow, and good quench with the small chamber.

thanks for the response, Ive found 2 bbc, and just plan a street car/show car. I want to install my 6-71 supercharger on it and was looking for some info on the heads. thanks
05-29-2007 #5If you are planning on a blower, I would go with open port heads, as it will be much easier to get the comporession low enough.
