      Pro-Touring Dodge Van?

      Hey guys,

Here's the latest project at Goodies Speed Shop. It's a 1967 A100 Dodge van that we're building as our shop van/mascot.

It came with a nice thick coat of blue house paint rolled and brushed on. I don't know if it was Home Depot or Sherwin Williams but we decided that we had to get a new coat of paint on it.

      Here's an original picture:

      And a new one...

Must be a fad or something because I am pretty sure I saw a rendering of a van that Chris Coddington was involved in not too long ago.

I sure wish I had time to work on MY Pro-Touring Van... 10hrs/7 days is spanking this old man's butt...
What time I do have is spent on the house and yardwork...

How are you going to get that thing down to a respectable ride height since you are sitting on top of the wheel wells? I've always thought they would look good w/a killer stance. Good luck with it!

It's not actually going to be a Pro-Touring van. It's just going to be the coolest shop van on the planet. We're going to lower it, put some 17's on it, drop in a 360 and have some fun with it. More mods may come later. For now I've been scouring the internet and EBay for hard to find parts to get it back together. There's a pretty decent market out there for these things.

Here's a picture of the Goodies Speed Shop van back in 1968...behind the Firebird.

The cool thing is that these vans have a stright axle from the factory. ...and we have a set of Zoomie headers at the shop...

That's sweet! Ross contacted me but didn't show me a picture.

I wonder where he got those beautiful bumpers...

      Hey Tony,

We had the original bumpers straightened and replated. They are not "perfect", but work great on this project.

The van has mostly original paint. We will have the top repainted soon. Too much patina there!
