      69 Ss 396

My Name is Tyler, I am currently restoring a 1969 Chevy Nova SS 396 car. I have been working on it for over a year now, but am still in need of some odds and ends parts. Unfortunetely, my car is a former drag car, but I am taking it back to the day it rolled off the showroom. If anyone has any tips or comments let me know.. Thanks

Again, welcome Tyler! Nice to have another Nova on the board. Nova parts are plentiful. What sort of items do you need?

You should visit Scott Windle's site at http://www.novaresource.com

Oh and post some pics of your '69!

Thank you dhardison!! Well I am in need of some rear frame rails. Like I said this was a former drag car, and the previous owners cut a piece out of each side. It could probably be fabbed to work, but like I said I want it to be as stock as possible. I have looked and I am almost positive that they do not make repos of the frame rails, and being from PA I am having some trouble finding a good set on a junk car.

Being that the Nova is a unibody car you're going to have to fab/fix up what you have or cut a LOT of spot welds to pull the rear unibody frame rails from a junk body. Darn shame someone cut up an original '69 BB Nova.......................
