Fuel pump arms are different lenghth
I have a Carter mechanical fuel pump on a SBC that I needed to replece.
I went with the Holley 130 GPH. When installing it, I noticed the arm is a tiny bit shorter and does not touch the pump rod.
I guess I could mill down the mounting pad on the pump so it sits further in.
Has anyone seen this before?

I recall a post where a person heard a ticking and it was for this reason. You might want to go over to chevelles.com and buy a used carter 172 from mc71454. He sells many with a nice warranty. $50.
