Crank Trigger or Dual Sync Distributor?
Which one would be better. The distributor sounds easy to install but
is the crank trigger better?
This is going on a 540 with XFI sequential.
Thanks

I had to make this choice on my Pontiac/Accel Gen7 combo. I chose the dual sync because it was simpler and a cleaner install. From what I was told, the better quality spark that a timing wheel gives would not be noticed at rpms below about 5,000, and then only if I was racing.

Depends on the application. If there's alot of track time involved, the trigger will give you thr cleanest signal. If it's street/strip, the dual sync is a cleaner install. You'll need to space out the rest of the accesories to match up with the trigger.
The XFI dual sync distributor is priced well and a nice product from the few we've used.Dennis

Dual sync will allow sequential operation, and no rocket science to install. FAST started shipping their new dual sync distributors last month. Total plug and play.

Does anyone know who makes the fast xfi dual sync distributor?
05-15-2007 #6I'm running a crank trigger and am very pleased with the performance and ease of installation. However, if you want sequential EFI, you'll need another input for cam position (another sync). If you've got room, go with dual sync...
