      A-body frt spring question

Putting new coils in the front of a 64 A-body. Does the flat end of the spring go in the frame side or lower control arm? The old springs had been cut and had no flat side.

On my 67, which should be the same, the front spring doesn't have a flat side. Both the control arm and upper pocket are tapered so a flat side is not needed on the spring. Hope this helps.

Just got the ansewer from Hotchkis. In case it helps someone else the flat goes in the frame side (top). Index the coil in the lower control arm dont worry about the top side.
