Hey SB Chevy guys

Do any of you know what the size and length of the bolt that goes through the motor mounts and frame mounts for a SB Chevy?


It's been so long since anyone I know has done a car without a motor plate everyone has forgot!

Are you talking about the long bolt that holds to two halves together, or the 3 bolts that go into the block or frame?

The long bolt that goes through both motor and frame mounts. One for each side.

Does anyone know where I can source a set of these from????

Any Hardware Store should have a fine thread bolt. I just used grade 8 Bolts and lock nuts

What size did you use? The factory bolts are 4 1/4" with a shoulder on the head side.

As far as I know, no hardware store has anything like that.... I'd either have to buy a 4" or 4.5" bolt, but the shoulder will still be missing.
