I've always been a Camaro nut. Proof inside!

The very first car I ever rode in when I was born was a 1972 Camaro Z28 that my Dad purchased new. Yep, I was born in 72. I grew up riding in "family" car Olds 442s, Mustangs, Camaros, Olds Rallye 350, and Malibus. I guess its my Dad's fault I was born a car nut.

I was digging through some old drawings I made as a kid and found two funny ones that tell you how much I have always loved '69 Camaros, especially supercharged ones. My first car during high school was also a red '69 Camaro that my Dad and I built together.

Anyway, I drew this one when I was 8 (in 1980):

As you can see, I read that "CARtoons Magazine" quite often as a youngster. I still like reading those magazines when I dig them out. Even used the free magazine iron-ons back then and proudly wore these badass cars on my t-shirts haha.

I got a ruler and some bolt washers and various coins and started using those at age 9 (1981). Yes, again I drew another supercharged '69 Camaro back then. Weird how my tastes haven't changed. Its a red SS, has the hockey stripe on it, and a blower. VERY similar to my current '69!

Just thought I'd share these old drawings I made. So, if any of you have children that like to draw and build things, keep those drawings and see if they forecast the future!

Thats some killer artwork...especially considering you were only 8. I too liked drawing cars as a kid, but my artistic talent has gone down the tubes since I don't draw much at all anymore.
72 Nova SS, on the back burner for now.
