      I got a wheel problem.

im going to put C5 brakes on the front of my 68 camaro. the thing is, i cant afford the wheels i want right now. im thinkin CCW's. they are 600-700 bucks a wheel tho. so i dont have too many options on cheap wheels i could run for a while. id love to just throw some ralleys on for a little while while i save. i dont think i should have to settle for a cheaper wheel. i could spend a grand on TT 2's but they are so over done. is there any way i could do something dirt dirt cheap for the time being? i know the vette wheels are cheap but i dont wanna have to buy adapters for a cheap wheel. what do you guys think i should do?

      thanks
      Jesse

Are you using 12" or 13" rotors? You can run 15" rally rims over the 12" rotors. Take a look at Dans car. ( 68sixspeed ) Their should be pictures in his gallery. If you have the 13" rotors be careful, a lot of 17" rims will not fit over them.

Look on Ebay for some Vette, or even Camaro wheels. Even if you have to buy adapters your still not out that much money right now.

too bad those 20x10s are beyond what I'm looking for otherwise I might buy em off ya, I'm in somewhat of the same boat currently, I have a nice set of 15" Torq Thrust D's but they won't hold new C5 brakes like I want to put under a new set of Torq Thrust II Classics.... So... if anyone happens to be switching around wheels and has a set of 18s they want to sell for my 2nd Gen Camaro then I'm listening...

If your referring to the set I have, I don't have any pics right now unfortunately :( I put them in my storage unit about a year ago and there they have sat.... I was going to be putting them on my '65 but decided to go with a set of Boze Forged instead.

If your interested I can get some pics for you within the next few days???

      Would 17's clear your brakes?

Summit racing sells black powdercoated 17x8" cragars for like $60 a peice.
