      Rack And Pinon

I am in the process of updating my steering in my 69 camaro and wanted to know if anyone has used a rack and pinion unit out of a late model car and had it work in the camaro chassis?

Have seen BRPs kit ? I think its really clever and mount front of wheels.Gives lot of room for engine.

Somehow i have not heard of it much.I wonder why because it looks like lot better than rear steer kits of flamings and steeroids.

If you look at DSEs or any other high end front subs they all use front steer rack! I personally consider PRBs kit for my project

Does anyone have pictures of an installed rack and pinion kit. Im looking to see how much clearance you gain by converting the steering. Measurements would help also but pics are good.

On my nova subframe, with brewer conversion on the rack & pinion. I think it looks good and leaves you with enough space to use the original oil pan, and with detroit speed a arms, and qa1 coilovers i now have a nice geometry on the steering arms, and due to that i do not worry about bump steer.

I also think it looks cool with the sway bar mounted reversed,
