      heat buit-up

      I have a 8.5 10 bolt with a new 3.73 gear in it.
After a few miutes the front bearings start to built up heat till 65 degrees celsius.
I have been to the specialist in our country and they say the torque it needs to rotate is o.k.
      ANYBODY HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Is it properly lubricated? That does seem somewhat hot.

I might even be tempted to pull the carrier out and just run the pinion for a few minutes to see if the heat happens there too.

Thanks for your reaction, I will take it apart again and see what happens.

If you take the differential out and run the pinion by itself it will get hot for sure. There will be no oil circulation over the bearings and you might find yourself replacing them.
