      before we order these today

      We want to know has anyone had any fitment/rubbing issues with 18s on their 67/68 Camaro?

      We need to order today and want to go with 18s, just not clear if people are using this size in events such as autocross and solo times on road courses.

      Heres what we figured....our rear end is close to an inch wider then stock.......

      rear = 18x10 bs= 6
      front = 18x8 bs= 4.75

      does this seem right...or should we go 9 or 9.5 in the rear wheel width?

      I have this combo on my '67:

      18x8 front (5.00" backspace) and 18x10 rear wheels (5.50" backspace)
      Nitto 245 wide NT 555 front tires, 285 wide NT 555R rear drag radials

      The car isn't lowered yet, but I will definitely have to roll the fender lip when I do so. If you run a 275 wide tire on a 9.5" wheel you should be able to avoid having to do that.

      18x9.5 with a 6.0" backspace and a 275 wide tire should fit perfectly on your wider rear axle car, assuming the axle is 0.5" wider than stock on each side.

      Thanks

      We really appreciate the response, this info helps out a lot. The biggest question was the rear whell width 10 or 9.5....now that is answered its NOW time to order.

      Thanks again guys.

      Looks like you got the sizing issues handled. Im not sure what rear suspension you have but If you have any issues with rubbing at all, Try looking into a panhard bar. It will work wonders with side to side movement with the rear. Good luck!

      Yes, we think the sizes are good, for movment...we have the Fays2 Watts link. Jim Fay is a good dude to work with, he is hoping to grow his first gen Camaro line.
