Tamraz Parts Discount Warehouse
Does anyone have any experience with these guy's fiberglass parts? I'm starting my search for a decent Camaro Cross Ram hood, and I'm looking for leads.

I think Ricks Camaros sells the snititz in those hoods.
04-17-2007 #4I bought many parts for my 67 from them years ago, before ebay was around, they are good car people. Although I have not bought any fiberglass parts.

Edit:
Ordered a quarters, floor pans, dash top, trunk kit, and outer wheelhouses from them through ebay auctions. I called before I hit buy it now, and took care of it over the phone immediately and they charged my card immediately. Of everything, they said one qp was out of stock but on order and would be in in 2 weeks. After four weeks, I called and was told they were still waiting for the qp. After six weeks, I called and now the qp was in, but they were waiting for parts for the trunk kit. After eight weeks, I get a call from the shipper and my order was ready to be picked up. When I picked it up, the dash top was not in with the order. When I called, I was told that it was out of stock when my order was shipped, and they shipped it the day before. I wouldn't leave feedback, since their feedback policy at the time stated they will leave retalitory feedback against you if you leave a negative or neutral. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

They don't make their parts. They get them from another company....
And it states right in their E-bay ad that it may be a while before you get your stuff, depending on what the manufacturer is making at the time...
04-19-2007 #7Do you know who they get them from and if they sell direct? Are there any other choices out there?
So if I understand this, Rick's First Gen buys theirs from Tamraz, and Tamraz gets them from somewhere else?

I would be very surprised if Ricks got anything from Tamraz. Ricks manufactures a lot of stuff (I do no think the hoods), I am not aware of Tamraz making or being distributors for anything.
Like I said, Ricks willl know the most about Cross Ram hoods, he is a Cross ram nut
04-19-2007 #9Frank, have you ever seen one of the hoods Rick's sells? I don't mind paying a little more for something that is a known quantity over an unkown. I guess what it boils down to, is would you put one of Rick's hoods on one of your cars? Having seen Prodigy, if the answer to that is yes, that hood would be good enough for me.

The hood on Prodigy (which is the same hood Ricks sells) is made by a friend of mine in South Carolina, which is not the same person making the JL8 hoods. However, if Ricks says it is a good piece, I would believe it is.

Tamraz sells Glasstek products. Look at Glasstek's stuff and its the exact same as what Tamraz puts on e-bay..
04-20-2007 #12Tamaraz does not make anything, they only sell products. They are located in a small warehouse in Naperville IL and yes many products are from overseas. If your looking to save money, then go with them. If you want top quality sheet metal look elsewhere. It all depends on what your buying, I did buy a gas tank for a 67 - 68 Camaro and it is a nice product at a good price. ( made in Canada )

04-20-2007 #13I bought some hood hinges from them and they took FOREVER to ship. I actually had to buy a second set locally to get my car into paint.

04-20-2007 #14I seem to remember someone on camaros.net saying that Tamraz short orders nearly everything, i.e. you pay, then they put an order it.
I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather pay a little more and not worry about that kind of bull.
