hey just a question i have a single bumper that i want to convert to a split bumper... is it as simple as just buying the split bumper and bolting it in place of the single bumper....

That's it, I just removed the full bumper and center support on my 73 and bolted on the small "bumperettes" I had to use a few washers to shim them on the inside so they sit straight. My only problem was with 72/73 is the egg crate grille, it has that center band that sits behind the bumper that has smaller openings...looks like crap in my opinion. I bought a 70/71 grille and added in a piece where the hood latch release sticks out. Painted black and you can't tell where the opening was.

The split bumpers do bolt right up on a non-RS front clip. To me it is a huge improvement over the look of a one piece bumper.
