      Ellis Engineering?....... HELP!

ok, so im having a problem getting in contact with the guys from Ellis Engineering. Here is the breakdown.

      • 3-9-07 Custom shocks ordered and paid for via card.
      • 3-9-07 Steve said shocks will be at our shop in 2 weeks
      • 3-24-07 Steve said the shocks were finished and he was shipping them
      • 4-6-07 Steve said he forgot and that the shocks are going to be shipped overnight and will be here last monday.
      • Now they will not call us back or answer our e-mails.
I do not understand the reason for this lack of service and have heard nothing but good things about his shocks and quality. They had thier money on 3-9-07, more than a month ago and still we are without shocks and a project that is not going to make it to the Knotts show because of this. I now owe a special thanks to our Bilstein guys because they stopped thier current orders to valve a custom shock for us and ship it overnight so i can have it tomorrow. They have really came through and this project still has a slight chance of being done in a reasonable time.

I have called both numbers on the website and sent several e-mails, If anyone knows him personally or knows another number i can reach him at then please let me know. Im at a loss for words!

I tried to call them. The cell number is dead and the other number goes straight to VM. So they aren't screening just YOUR calls.

Could be some kind of personal brushfire in their lives right now or it could be something more permanent on a business level. In either case I would have your CC company put a hold on the charge. If things are on the up and up that will get their attention. If not well at least they wont be heading for the hills with your hard-earned.

As Damn True stated get with your credit card company and start the initial process document who you speak to, date, time, and where their out of, you'll almost always get a different person when contacting your card services.
In defense of the party your dealing with I'm not trying to be to quick to judge in any way, always be diplomatic when speaking with the party that supposed to be providing the service.
I experienced a similar situation twice in 06, once with a guy on RacingJunk and the other with Schubeck Racing. The first time with the guy on R/J he finally refunded my funds and with Schubeck on the lifters my credit card company had to take the funds back from their account even after getting with the Better Business Bureau in Las Vegas and this was a period of time say June 14 to early November when the credit actually appeared on my statement.
I'll also add that I have no problem with R/J at all and still visit their site.
