      New Project Rendering

I've been working with Murray Pfaff on a new project and I wanted to share some of the details. My first car was a 3rd Gen Camaro and I've been wanting to build a similar car ever since....this time with all the goodies. My goal is to include items from my first car, such as paint color, but also incorporate raw, road-race inspired styling that I grew fond of during my racing days.

Exterior body features will include fabricated front and rear spoilers, functional hood louvers, front brake air ducts, and a Porsche Guards Red and satin black paint scheme.

The powertrain features will include a high-revving, normally-aspirated 372ci small-block, T56 6-speed, and a 4.10 geared 12-bolt rearend. The engine bay will be finished in 'Traco' gray.

The suspension will retain stock geometry but include aftermarket control arms, springs, shocks, and bars. The brakes will include 13" front PBR-style units with LT1 rear discs.

The spartan interior will include safety items for track days and only the necessary gauges.

I think Murray did a great job capturing what I was looking for in this rendering. I hope you like.

That's awsome!!! I've always had a soft spot for 3rd Gen Camaro's. I'm suprised there is more of these on here getting built, they've got to be one of the cheapest cars to build at this point.

      Keep us posted!!

Sweeeeeeeeet. I passed a very nice 3rd Gen for sale on the way home from work tonight and I've been kicking myself all night for not stopping. Now after seeing this I'm going to have to get up a little earlier so I can check it out in the morning on the way to work. Thanks. No, I mean it!

That's going to be one sweet ride when completed. Here lately I have developed quite a soft spot for 3rd gens. Ive even been looking around town and here and there on the net trying to find a cheap driver. Good luck with the build and keep us updated.

      Great inspiration

Let me tell you, I'm glad you posted this. I haven't been doing much to mine lately, and leaning more and more towards selling it for a older project. Seening that revs me right back up. Here are a couple shots of mine.

      Thanks

Thanks for the kind words guys. It's a love-it-or-hate-it design, so I'm glad some of you like it. Here's how the motor is going to look. It's got 13.5:1 compression, good internals, and a 7,500rpm redline.

Will it be a LT style motor, or LS, or an older GEN 1?
