What is the weight limit on that plate? Can it hold the weight of both the engine and trans or is it just for the engine?

As far as pulling the trans with it, I've seen many guys do it with the carb base mounted units, so this should be even stronger than that with more bolts and a wider clamp range.

We built one out of .250 plate which looks to be the same thickness and it will hold a engine/trans complete no problems!
