      Header Thoughts/questions...

I'm in the process of looking for some new headers for my Camaro. In my quest I have been thrown many ideas, and reasons that each manufacturer has for their design being superior to all others. Equal length, tuned, tri-y. Are equal length really superior? Isn't it possible that even though two pipes or more are all different lengths, the exhaust pulses (gasses) still could take the same time to reach the collector because of turns in the primary vs. a straighter primary?

Heck, I'll start this fire...Vizard says that in his experience, it makes little difference unless you're looking for the last few horsepower.

I spent a *lot* of time making mine equal length.

But I'm a big fan of Vizard, and he had actual dyno data that showed little or no difference if the tubes were within 6-8" of each other. I'll remember that next time.
