      T-56 To BBC

You guys here seem to know a lot about swapping the t-56

transmissions to old school motors so hopefully someone will be able

      help.

      My car: 99 Trans Am Ls1 T56.

Motor to go into Car: Blown 427 Big Block

What is the best way to mate the stock trans. to the BBC while

utilizing the SFI approved bellhousing i already have for the motor?

      Thanks.

mcleod adapter plate and pilot bushing wil allow you to use all your bbc bell/clutch/flywheel, but then you will need to rig up the clutch linkage, i belive t56.com has through out bearing that you could adapt to the newer f body. good luck

If you are keeping the LSX style T56 and hydraulic setup you already have you will only need a McLeod modular bellhousing- 8710-10 to adapt it to the BBC.

That is correct. The adapter plate is typically to adapt cars with a 4speed and mechanical clutch linkage to switch to a T56 from an LSX based car. you already have the factory hydraulic system, so a swap to an 8710-10 will make it bolt to a BBC/SBC and retain the SFI rating, and hydraulic assembly.
