the pins are marked on the male connectors...there are small letters molded into the plastic...the skip shift can be left alone...its not needed, in a OEM app it would set a SES light if you unplugged it...

None of them matter. The way we do it is 1 wire to ground, the other to a 12v source. It doesn't matter which wire goes where.

if you have the connectors they are marked a and b...if you don't how is it you think you are going to connect anything to the trans.....and yeah, what Tito said....the only one that matters is the VSS...one wire is high reference and the other is low....depends on what your speedo needs which one you use

ok well here is the deal...i dont have the original trans harness (its going in a 71 nova) but last night i did some searching around and found some gm and chrysler connectors that fit perfect which will allow me to make my own harness, i realize that on the reverse lock out and reverse lights it wont matter , but it will on the speedo hookup, im using a autometer phantom elec speedo in a corvan dash. the plugs i found do have a/b on them but ... some a is on the left...some a is on the right...so i really need to know which pin is a/b ....mostly on the speedo sender. ..oh and i know it would be easier to get a factory harness.....but im already way over budget if you get my drift! thanks guys!
