      New Rear Brakes

Was a "Pull A Part" on Thursday and scored a set of new rear brakes for one of my Chevelles. Yes, I know they are nothing high tech but they are BIG and they were CHEAP!

Found a cherry 76 Chevrolet Malibu 4 Door with a 10 bolt rearend that had 11 inch rear drums. Someone had already got the axles and all I had to do was unhook the perfect E brake cables at the front and cut the brake lines. Totally complete with nice original drums.

All this for Twenty Bucks! These are perfect for the 12 bolt rearends I scored the week before. These work great with a stock set of front discs on a Chevelle and are a big upgrade from the stock 9 inch rear drums.

      I love "Pull A Part"!!!!

Great score! I searched the local yards here for over a month and couldn't find a single set of 11" rear drums. I Finally ended up buying a set of 11" backing plates from a fellow gearhead who had an extra set.
