      TKO Install Question

When swapping a Muncie M21 with a TKO using Classic 5 speed's or Kiesler's kit. I would like to know if they maintain the same engine/transmission angle as my current SBC/Muncie in my 71 Nova? I'm getting ready to install new spring perches on the rear axle and don't want to do it again when I replace the transmission. I've read the sticky above and it apears the Classic Chevy 5 spd maintains the same angle. I plan to have my pinion 1/2 degree lower than the engine to account for spring wrap.

My buddy just did the swap in a 67 Camaro with a big block, he said he could not get the trans high enough to get back to the factory angles. It was only off by 1/2* I think, he didn't seem too concerned about it.

Thanks for the reply 1/2 degree is pretty close. sounds like it was down 1/2 degree.

When installed, our kit will be within factory drive line angle specs. Personnaly I wouldn't adjust for spring wrap. If you're going to race use track bars. If you adjust for spring wrap your angles will not be optimal for regular driving. If you're racing the car all the time then adjust for it. If this is a street driver I wouldn't.
