Out of those eight if I had to narrow it to three I would pick the pick-up, the 32 roadster, and the 36 ford by troy. Not necessarily in that order.
That is easily done from thousands of miles away in the comfort of my living room looking at pictures. I would hate to actually be a judge, cause then I would choose this VW just out of spight.

I appreciate the "work of art" cars, I really do. But what does if for me are the "purpose built" cars. I hope to see more Pro-Touring cars there this year. Schwartz called me today and he'll be joining us at the gathering. If anyone else is going, jump on the People Mover and head over to Greektown. We'll be at Fishbones from 4pm to whenever.

Troy's car is on a whole different level. All one off pieces not just dressed up off the shelf parts. I can't judge fit and finish through pics but I would have no problem saying it is probably the best of the best. Look at the wheels and brake set up alone. Then look at the other 7's. Not sure what the judges criteria are but looks like a win for Troy.

Fit and finish are more important to the judges than one off hand made parts............but Troy will still win.

100MPHWHEEL-- We where there last sat and saw the braking assembly that you had on there. Looked really nice. The wheels were cool in that they matched the paint of the car. Nice design on the rim as well.

Al is beginning to order the parts for the build. Car is sitting in storage. We'll see how "rust free" it is. The rendering has been done for a while and I think Troy is going to use most of it but add his own ideas as well. I dont think they have ever done a Nova as of yet. Its going to be a great summer for sure!

Has any noticed how out of control these awards are getting now, matching shirts, jackets, what is next, matching mohawks!! Who were the Great 8?

Does anyone know what happened with the car that Snik's in Iowa was working on a couple years back for the Ridler?? Maybe I just missed it.
