      6-speed question

Is there any way a 6-speed from a CTS-V will bolt up to a pontiac 400? I wasn't sure if someone made a bellhousing that would work.

yes....look on ls1tech.com for specifics but basically there is one bolt that will not line up and is not needed or you can go with a mcleod bell housing..

No. The problem with a CTSV trans is not the front end it's the rear., you can buy a belhousing to adapt to your motor, but.

The output shaft, shift rails and tailshaft housing are all different. There is not slip yoke, it uses a bolt on soupler and a special driveshaft.

Impossible to work in our cars.

i wouldnt say impossible! i looked into it. you can mount it just like any ls1 based t56....but like nitro said, it has a bolt up flange in stead of a slip yoke so you would have to make a custom drive shaft with a 4wd style slipe yoke built in to it......look around and get a ls1 or viper 6 speed!
