I'm here in Northern VA. Does anyone here ever track their cars? I love to get out to Summit Point in my fastback, but I would love to get some more PT vintage iron to join me. If you're intersted in tracking your car, chime in!

OK Virginia-ites. What is the rule there with sniffer checks, visual inspections & so on? I may have to move there.

Currently Northern Va has the sniffer checks...random roadside cameras, and annual smog inspections....I live in central Va and all of that non-sense hasn't made it's way down to us yet.

No, Norfolk is more towards the coast over in Eastern Va. Not sure how picky the inspections are in the Tidewater area. The heavily populated areas are where they have ramped up the inspections to include the sniffer tests....now, Northern Va I'm sure of, because a friend got a ticket from a random sniffer camera on the side of the highway and he had something like 30 days to get it corrected and had to take it in for a sniffer inspection and if it didn't pass the car had to come off the road until it could pass the test.
He bought an IROC from a kid who had taken the converter off and he drove it to work and the camera got him.

I knew Norfolk was on the east coast, I meant is the sniffer rules like they are in central. Also how about getting handgun carry permit?

I live in suffolk (used to live in Norfolk and Chesapeake). There are no emission inspections. Virginia does have that PITA safety inspection though. Some places will check for cats, etc.

Guns? No data other than a co-worker used to carry a handgun to wallmart. Didn't feel safe without it.
