      80 Malibu Paint Help

      Hey Guys,

I'm getting ready to paint my malibu in the next couple of weeks, and I need some input on what everyone thinks and has in the idea department. My painter can pretty much do anything so its up to me. If anyone has any pictures and paint codes of what they think will look really cool, please post. Right now my idea is to do two tone, with the top, from just under the window and up, to be black and the bottom half be silver green metallic, found on 05 cadillacs. What do you guys think? And if anyone has the skills to photoshop that one for me, that would be awesome. Thanks for any help and input you guys can give me. Please post as many pictures as possible so I can visualize.

Here is Bill Howell's car that has a paint scheme very much like what you're talking about.

I did some renders for a customer on an 81 Malibu. Some smaller pics are shown on my site under 'Renders'.

My car is actually painted as the factory paint scheme. We simply used a red pin stripe to separate the colors and a cool little bowtie on the quarters.

Thanks for the help guys, awesome pics and video!!! I think I will go with that body line, with a graphite grey and olive green, dare to be different as they say.

I heard, from someone that should know that it has TTIIs on it.....hehe
17x7 with 4.75 bs up front/17x8 with 4bs on the rear.
245/45/17 front and rear, but you can put 255s on the rear with no problem.

I do plan on ordering some new wheels in the near future and will go back to a 8 inch with 5.5 bs up front. If you go with ATS spindles on the front, it does change the position of the rotor outward just a tad from stock. Well worth it though, the car is absolutely like it is on rails, I highly recommend them on a g-body.
