      Trunk fitment

Having an issue with the trunk on my 69 not fitting properly. I have it installed with new weather stripping and latch.

The weather stripping is holding up the back of the trunk and it appears as the height of the trunk near the rear window needs to go up with should bring the back down. It needs to tilt.

My question is what is the best way to so this. There is really no adjustment on the hinges for this.
Do you shim between the hinges and the trunk? Bend the hinges?

I'm assuming you already tried backing out the mounting bolts some and seeing if it will move where you need it?

A shim under the forward bolt on the offending side should move it in the correct direction.

That is what I was thinking of doing, but didn't know if that was "the correct" way of doing it?
