      New User First Post, Standard?

Believe it or not, I found this forum for the first time today. Yay me!

I have a 1965 Mustang that I've owned since I was 14, restored, drove into the ground, re-restored, drove into the ground again, redid a third time, and then put aside for the better part of five years as I bought a business and started playing poker as a hobby. Frankly, I'm bored playing cards. Who'd of thought.

My car is currently in paint hell but making steady progress. I'll post some destruction pictures as soon as I can pry the digital camera out of my wife's hands.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here. Seems like a knowlegeable and well administered forum.

Nice to see you dedicated to the same car for many years! Sounds like me. Good luck with the project, what's your plans for drivetrain and suspension once you get it out of paint?

I have a WC T-5 (installed 1996), 5.0 w/ BG silverclaw carb (done in 1998), 8" rear with an Eaton posi and 3.55's and a Modern Driveline cable clutch setup.

The problem with these sort of projects is when I started it hardly anybody knew anything about what worked and what didn't. The driveline turned out exactly that way. If I could do it again, I'd of used AFR heads, bought a 331 stroker kit, and kept my 28 oz billet steel flywheel and SFI damper from the 289. I'd of made another 150hp and spent half as much. I still may do it, but not this year.
