      Go-fish,
If you can't get up with Satistraction's machinist, I can recommend a good one in Denham Springs, LA (just east of Baton Rouge)

Wow, I totally forgot about this thread. I had to find a shop with a Mopar smallblock cam tunnel fixture for the lifter bore bushing. I was fortunate to find Southland Performance, a Mopar shop, in Gray, LA (near Houma on Hwy. 90).
I only recently took the block over there. We had to take in the mother in law and we are paying for her medicine and it's driving me nuts. She has taken so much away from my car budget and she is so ungrateful. Enough of that though.
I am going to have them do the whole thing, all the way to dyno. We should be lookin at middle to end of November.
Too bad it couldn't be done for Cruisin the Coast.

That would be great. I am leaving for yet another deployment soon but maybe in about Aug. 08. I finally got my engine in a machine shop after much delay. Made 650hp but I haven't got it in the car. I leave in Feb so won't be able to get it on the road. I don't know how much longer after I get back I will be stationed here on the coast. Looking like I may have to relocate to VA. I have really enjoyed MS te last 5 years fellas.

I was planning on getting the engine/trans in the car and get it going down the road a couple times before deployment.
We had some problems with the enginr that required tear down so we are going to dyno again at the end of the week.
I'll probably get it home by the weekend or the first weekend in Jan.
I would like to take a week of leave and thrash on it.
I have to set up the fuel system, run the battery from the trunk, plumb the rack and pinion and the Hydro-boost to the PS pump, find a drivers seat, run the plumbing for the water injection and some other minor things like safety wire on the rotor hats.
I would like to show the fellas at work that I actually do have a cuda and it is bad as$ as I have been saying it is, LOL.
If I get it running before I leave I would love to do a shake down run up to Monticello.
If I had the engine back when I was spposed to it would have been close but now it's close to impossible.

Yes, I was at CTC for entire week. Saucier, Ms is immediately north of Gulfport. So, basically I call Gulfport home.

Cool, I will be relocating to Gulfport from Long Beach soon. Do you take the car out much? I would love to see it. I have been building a 'cuda... slowly and have been bitten by the Camaro bug. My wife wants one for "the next car". It would be a deal sealer if she saw yours I'm sure.

BTW, Statis Traction, can I come up and look at your 67 this week? (228) 343-6560

We were there Fri, Sat & Sun. We stayed at the Island View and there was a camaro parked a couple cars down from me Sat night that sounds a lot like yours. I remember it well because it was the first camaro I've seen that had the mufflers at the back of the car. If it was your car you need to post up some pics!!!!

We did go and eat at the Island View and parked in the parking garage, so that was probably my car.

Alright, time to kick this thread in gear again and let you guys know what I have been up to.
I left for the Mid East in early Feb. I just got too busy to get with lil zl1 and see his car. I wish I had though.
I am in Bahrain and it is quite a different experience than my other deployments, that's about all I'm going to say about that.
I have enrolled in a distance learning program to get my Bachelor of Science in business/Management.
I got orders to a Team at Stennis over north of Bay St. Louis on the Pearl River.
When I get back I am planning on doing the body on the 'cuda and eventually paint but I would also like to do the interior. Either way I would really like to get it at least looking decent and get it road legal by Cruisin. That was last years goal too but it never happened.
Tell you gys what, I am really missing the coast.

Did you ever get the motor done and running? Was you around during the cruise because I didn't make it last year. If so how was the turnout. I will be their this year because pop's want's to take the 56 for a drive and show it to the folks. The camaro has been on the jack stand express since august 07 with no motor. But it maybe going back in this week end if I get the 6 speed out of it and mate it back to the motor

I thought all of you had vanished. We went to a car show in Picayune yesterday and the car got a specialty award called the Golden Rod Award. We left there and went to a cruise-in at Edgewater Mall in
Biloxi. We had good day and and put almost 150 miles on the car. Glad to see spring and that you fellows had not vanished.
