      Thorley tri-ys perfomance

On another site I belong to a few guys told me that tri-ys are not a good Idea that they where limited perfomance at best.
I realy like the ground clearance but I havent heard anyone speak of the performance of their tri-ys.

It depends on what kind of tri-y headers you use. If you use the nascar style shown here:
      http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SB-2-...QQcmdZViewItem
then they should work great, but the ground clearance looks to be about the same as a traditional header. Now headers like these
      http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-3306-19-0.html
which are the ones most of us are used to, will have more ground clearance. They are supposed to help low-to-midrange power. Headers by Ed though says the 4-1 headers make more power. The nascar headers will make good power, probably more on the top end, depending on primary tube size. They definitely have done alot of testing to verify their designs. Talk to companies that build headers, like http://www.burnsstainless.com/index.htm and www.headersbyed.com for example for more.
