      Chip Foose

Hey guy's, I went to Speedorama in Toronto on Saturday and met Chip Foose, I took my air cleaner lid with me to get it autographed. When I passed it to him he shook my hand asked my name and then said what's this going on. I said a Malibu wagon, his reply "very cool" and in no more than minute or two this was the result, the guy is amazing.....

I met him last year right after our Pro-Touring dinner at Fishbones. He was in the front lobby and I walked right up to shake his hand and say hello. He also asked me what my name was too. That is a hell of a quality for someone of his celebrity to have. I doubt Boyd Coddington could give two f*cks who the hell you are much less wanna shake your hand.

The guy is just a GREAT guy. He did not have time to take a breath a SEMA. All his signing sensions had to have the lines cut. In spite of the demand on his time he doesn't rush anyone. He asks your name and shakes hands with you. I asked him if he would sign 'love Chip Foose" for my 9 year old daugher (that adores him) and he turns the poster around and asks if thats what she'll like? Then he thanks you coming and tells you to enjoy the rest of the show. He has to be one of the nicest guys walking on the face of the earth. Gracious and humble in spite of being the "best in the business" hard to beleive in this day and age.

Damn, that is cool. Chip Foose should write the book on how to interact with the public, for those in such a position.

Show wasn't all that great again, surprisingly there wasn't as many ricers as I thought there would be, alot of Kustom culture hot rod stuff, a few nice muscle cars. I really only went for an autograph and to get a glimpse of AJ from behind.....damn fine

That is definitely a display only air cleaner lid now.
I like hearing how great a guy he is as you rarely see that anymore with anyone who gets 15 minutes of fame, nevermind perennial fame.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

I had the privilege of having Mr. Motion (Joe Rosen) sign an identical lid at Carlisle this year. Sat in the NastyZ28 tent for a while talking shop.
