      1980 malibu cream puff

Hey guys just bought a near perfect 80 malibu and want to put some wheels on it. Im thinking 17-18x8 front and 17-18x9.5 rear. What are you all running? width, diam, backspace, tire size. The car will be lowered soon!

I have some Simmons on mine:

      17x8.5 front, 4.32 backspacing with 245/45/17
      17x9 rear, 4.75 backspacing with 255/45/17.

If I had to do it again, I would have gone with 17x9.5 on the rears with 285/40/17s.

      18x8 with 4.75" backspace and 245/40/18 front
18x10 with 5" backspace and 275/35/18 rear (shoulda went 275/40)

I plan to do a frame notch in the rear and run either the 295/35 bfg drag radials or 305/35 nittos eventually...after I get the car back on the road that is lol

I'm running 17x8 front and rear with a 5" BS front and 4" BS rear. 245/45r17 front, 255/45r17 rear. I should also mention my car has b-body spindles for the 12" brake swap. This moves the front wheel track outward about 3/4" or so.

Let me see if I have anything around for it. The wheels are 20's, 8's and 9.5's. The bag system was an air ride direct bolt in(if memory serves me right)

Everything was basically original. Just the wheels, bags and some billet accessories...

Hey Tony, How's things....I run 18x7 fronts with 4" bs and 18x8 rear with 4.5" bs. I wanted to do 8 and 9.5 as well but depending on how low you want your car to sit plays a big factor, 8 and 9.5 hit your inners before 7 and 8's and I didn't want to roll any fender lips.....here's the same pic I e-mailed you, shows the wheels pretty good from this angle

Do you think 285/40/18 would rub?
