      454 ideas?

      I have a recently rebuilt 454 making 400hp/500tq
It came out of a truck i dont know the year exactly. Im on a pretty tight budget and was looking for opinions on what i could do to increase the power.

The heads are heavily reworked ported polished etc. stock heads
      Edelbrock Air Gap manifold
      Hooker ceramic headers
      Hyd. cam
      cam lift .296 .311
      valve lift .503 .529
      duration 292 Int. 302 Exh.

Holley Double Pumper - i dont know what size

Any suggestions on heads or cam or combinations of the two.

like i said i just had the engine rebuilt, and installed inthe car last year so would really like to do this with out pulling the engine again.

any suggestions would be really appreciated

You would not believe the power you could get by switching to a small solid roller cam from your hyd cam. I don't know if your budget allows but you could easily make an extra 40 to 50 (conservatively speaking) horse by changing cams and manifold. Look at a small comp solid roller and a Victor Jr. intake but make sure it matches your combination because all the power in the world doesn't do any good if it is not part of the total package (ie. gearing, stall speed, etc...) good luck.
