Belt drive worth it for solid roller SBF?

Every time I've used a good Cloyes timing chain set up (hex adjust and multi-keyway true roller) in any motor they end up pretty loose. Sometimes it isn't even that much time on them. Are belt drives that much better? It's a good bit more money than a good chain drive, but I'll be running a solid roller with 220 lbs on the seat and about 500 over the nose. I'm worried it will stretch a chain even more quickly. I'd consider a Milodon gear drive, but they don't make them for a Ford SVO/windsor race block.

Anybody have experience with a similiar application?

      Thanks
