Spindle Seal????
I was cleaning my spindles this evening in prep for drum->disc conversion and noticed a 'seal' that goes on prior to the hub. In the pic below it was located in the area designated in red. I've also attached a pic of the 'seals' I pulled off.
They're made out of some sort of gasket material, not metal. I was almost ready to reinstall the hubs and now I don't know if these need to be replaced or if they're even needed at all.
-Has anyone ever come across these on their car?
-What are their purpose?
-Do I need to replace them? If so, what are they called and where can I find them?
Thanks,
Dan

Most newer seals are twin lip seals with the lips facing away from each other. One for grease retention and the other for dust/debris/element barrier.
