      Buick GS/455

      Hi;
      I'm new here and thought a would post a picture of my ride.
      Suspension upgrades are Hotchkis front lowering springs, sway- bar, and rear sway bar.
      Engine is a well built Buick 455 with around 475 horsepower. Transmission is a mildly built TH350 with a 2800 stall.
      Rear end is a Chevelle 12 bolt posi unit with streetable 3.31 gears from a 70 Chevelle.
      When I get a chance I'll post pictures of the old and new springs and tell ya about the handling difference.
      Later;
      Mike

      Mike, glad you made it to the site! I have always loved your car, it is something a little different, you don't see the GS's very often. You have done a great job maintaining and upgrading it. Good choice on the Hotchkis parts!

      If I could afford to build any car..that right there would be number 1.

      Might I suggest 17" rallyes?

      Those 17's are on my dream list trust me. Thanks for the link. I forgot the website.

      Thank you to Helmet and Bandit/Paul for the nice words.

      I have a few pictures. This summer I have to get my wife to photograph it better, she's good at that stuff.

      coil spring pictures.

      Ok this was crazy. I ordered some coil springs and got the wrong ones and this is what happened. The pictures tell it all.

      The first picture is with the new wrong springs they sent me.

      (A word to the wise, check them before installing them.)

      The second picture is of when I got the car, notice how low it is, that was because of 2 shocks being completely busted and smashed in and drag race coil springs that are to make the car leap up at take off for better traction. Let's just say they did not work well.

      The last picture is of the coil spings themselves that I had to work with.
      Thanks to Hotchkis for getting it right for me.
