If you can get a back issue of Super Rod, in the NOV 06 issue they have a 62 re-painted GSX style with the hood scoops and it also has the 215 motor. Pretty nice if you ask me.

Some thoughts on your 5-speed swap; Buick sold that engine to Rover, and they used it until recently. I don't know if they changed the tranny bolt pattern though.

      Cool ride!

I have that issue and that sort of led to this car. I knew where it was and had a bunch of ideas but didn't know until that issue that it all would work. The 215 was in Rovers with the same bolt pattern but still no manual trannies. It is a good place for fuel injection that I intend to run. Right know I am trying to get my 68 chevelle ready to sell to fund the Skylack. I really rthink the early nova stuff will work. Then I have been measuring rear ends and I'm now leaning toward a late model 5-lug mustang. Seems to want to bolt right in. Then D&D for the bellhousing and a five speed it is. Then the nova front suspension and brake swap. Then fuel injection, cam, and maybe a 300 crank. Right now though I'm cruising in grannymode!!!!

Didn't the TR8 use the same engine? That had to have a manual! If not, someone has to make a block adapter... hmmm....
