      center support bearing

      does anyone have any idea where i could get my hands on a billet aluminum center support bearing for my 64 impala g-machine ?

      i tore up 2 center supports in 2 months i put in the IED piece along with a slip yoke drive shaft and haven't had a problem since.

      a slip yoke d/s ... good idea. how much did you lower your car?

      about 5 inches, the front cross member sits about 2 inches from the ground, it sits a little lower now than pics(those are a year old) everything has settled in now.
      you should consider a slip yoke, if you lower it anything more than 2.5 inches, your drivshaft will start binding up on you giving you problems and that IED center support is a solid billet piece instead of being a piece of stamped steel.
