      Rag joint replacement

      I need a new rag joint and was wondering if there was something that works better. I have no problem with a new rag joint, but I wanted to make sure that there has not been something produced that is better.

      I would like to know the same thing as you, because the rag joint can cause some lack of precision of the driving. On my car, I made two couplings from a 1/4 inch pipe nipple and I manually pressed fit them on the security pins of the rag joint. It considerably reduces the possibility of distortion of the rubber.
      VERY IMPORTANT ; If you want to try it, make sure there's no bending while turning the rag joint.
