68 camaro/firebird door shell
Anyone installed a reproduction door shell on a 68 camaro or firebird? I'm wondering about the quality and fitment. I'm trying to decide between a new door skin or complete door shell. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Nate

12-16-2006 #2The dynacorn skins I have used fit great. "IF" your door shell is nice just buy a skin. The skin can be easily installed to a factory appearance.

whats wrong with the door shells? I was thinking of picking them up fro a 68 fire bird. I would think it would be easier?
12-16-2006 #5Frank is telling you they do not fit for sheet! All I have ever used are the door skins and they fit fine!

Thanks for the info guys. My firebird took a hit to the right door and quarter panel area at some point in its life. Quarter panel was pretty mangled under the bondo so I had it replaced. The door shells are actually very solid, but there is a hole in the back side of the shell near the latch. Looks like someone drove a bar through to straighten the door and then filled the hole. It's definitely fixable. I just thought if the repro shells fit well I'd go that route. Sounds like I'll be putting on a skin. Thanks for your help, Nate
