      engineering test reports

Just observing, but I notice everyone talks about the torque ratings of transmissions, and many people quote numbers for the capability of these different units.
Being a mechanical (aerospace) engineer by trade, I know anytime a product is developed, performance requirements are defined and at the completion of the design, it goes through integrity and qualification testing to verify that it meets these design requirements. It is documented in a technical test report. So when people say they don't have data on their design, thats just a bunch-o-hooey. Of course, the willingness of the company to share this data is another issue...

      So here's my question:
Does anyone have inside access or have obtained a copy of credible engineering test reports for any transmissions? Here's some of the units I would like to see test data on:

      Muncie M22
Doug Nash / Richmond racing 4+1
Doug Nash / Richmond street 4+1
      Tremec TKO 500 and 600
      Tremec / BW T56
      Borg Warner Super T10
      G-force 5 speed
      Jerico 5 speed

I'd like to know the steady torque carrying capacity and shock load capacity of these various units. If needed, contact me privately, but if anybody has anything, would you mind sending me a copy?

      Thanks

      Mike

I get annoyed when aftermarket companies rate it by "horsepower."

Does that mean when my 550 ft-lb big block puking out 425hp blows up your 2004R rated "up to 450hp", you"ll send me a replacement free?

Add world class t-5 to that list just because I think its interesting that everyone says theyre weak and shouldn't be considered but there's still 5.0 guys quietly running 11's on stock boxes. Does the ability to shift from 2nd to 3rd smoothly increase torque capacity?
